Hey, good news for Zuners accross our northern border, PC has just given it's review and it looks like Zune is a hit, sort of. Although they actually discuss the difficulties making inroads in to the market dominated by, what we all know is the lesser player iPud, in the end they actually seem to like the player very much. I don't know about you but I'm kinda glad MS took their collective time in introducing the Zune to other parts of the world. I think that in time it will become commonplace to see the little player that could in the hands of people all across the world but giving the device too much exposure all at once would have been a mistake. Look at it this way, this player has only been around for 1 1/2 years compared to the iPud which has been here longer than Steve Jobs has been wearing those freakin' turtlenecks. You know what's funny? Every time I hear someone (usually an adolescent) say Zune's suck! Why? Because they likely have never even seen one (not necessarily good news for Zune) but that's it. They simply have never used one, and don't know how tough and useful (Superior) they are compared to iPud (yeah, I know I said iPud instead of iPod so sue me). As I was think about this earlier today I began to search for others who shared this outlook and discovered this post by Glenn on Live Spaces. In it here writes: Yesterday morning my Zune 30 fell out of my shirt pocket and fell into a bucket of water. Even though I plucked it out in a few seconds, I really figured that it was lost. This isn't the first time that I've drowned a piece of electronics. My Nokia 8290 comes to mind. Well, the Zune 30 dried out and worked fine. I'm amazed. I really had no expectations that it would still work. Now, would an iPod have survived it?
So, once again we see another )albeit few) how have had the pleasure of using the vastly more reliable Zune.Write Comment (203 Comments) |
